AREAS AFFECTED: Northeast Weld County; Morgan County; Logan County
DESCRIPTION: At 544 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms extending from near Keota to near Adena School, or extending from 36 miles northwest of Fort Morgan to 7 miles south of Fort Morgan, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Fort Morgan, Brush, Log Lane Village, Hillrose, New Raymer, Stoneham, Antelope Springs, Snyder, Keota, Pawnee Buttes, Adena School, Buckingham, Fort Morgan Airport and Union.
INSTRUCTION: Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Prepare for sudden gusty winds. Secure loose objects and move to a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

The final form taken by a growing cumulus cloud is the
cumulonimbus cloud, which is very tall and dense.
The tower of a cumulonimbus cloud can soar 23 km into the atmosphere, although
most commonly they stop growing at an altitude of 6 km.
Even small cumulonimbus clouds appear very large in comparison to other cloud types.
They can signal the approach of stormy weather, such as thunderstorms or blizzards.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.
