DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Wind driven Snow. Additional snow accumulations between 4 to 8 inches, with local amounts of 12 inches generally north of Cottonwood Pass. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph. * WHERE...Eastern Sawatch Mountains Above 11000 Feet and Western Mosquito Range/East Lake County Above 11000 Feet. * WHEN...Until midnight MST tonight. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.

Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitudes (usually around 5 km)
and have distinguishing characteristics displayed in a fine layer of
small cloud patches. These small cloud patches are sometimes referred to as
"cloudlets" in relation to the whole cloud formation.
Cirrocumulus clouds are formed from ice crystals and water droplets. Often, the
water droplets in the cloud freeze into ice crystals and the cloud becomes a
cirrostratus cloud. Because of this common occurrence, cirrocumulus cloud
formations generally pass rapidly.
