DESCRIPTION: At 806 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles south of Minneola, moving south at 35 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR Ashland, Englewood and Protection. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely. Locations impacted include... Ashland, Coldwater, Bucklin, Minneola, Fowler, Protection, Bloom, Englewood, Sitka, Clark State Lake, Kingsdown, Lake Coldwater, Acres, and Buttermilk.
INSTRUCTION: This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. This storm is producing widespread wind damage. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.

Cumulus clouds are fluffy and textured with rounded tops, and
may have flat bottoms. The border of a cumulus cloud
is clearly defined, and can have the appearance of cotton or cauliflower.
Cumulus clouds form at low altitudes (rarely above 2 km) but can grow very tall,
becoming cumulus congestus and possibly the even taller cumulonimbus clouds.
When cumulus clouds become taller, they have a greater chance of producing precipitation.
